Meet the Pacific District Team

Dennisa Bumgardner serves within the district in a peer work group for the purposes of discovery, collaboration and growth. This position will focus on the implementation and exercise of administrative processes that simplify administration and maximize ministry for the district.

Dennisa Bumgardner has a passion for developing women in ministry and ensuring that pastors are emotionally healthy and supported. She accepted Jesus at age 17 and went straight into a ministry training program. After three years, Dennisa was hired as a children’s pastor and later worked as a youth pastor, administrative support, women’s ministry leader and church planter in Colorado. She and her husband, Zach, moved to Honolulu in 2012 to serve at Metro Christian Church (Honolulu Metropolitan Foursquare Church). In 2015 they planted Elevate Community Church (Alewa Heights Foursquare Church), where they currently serve as co-pastors. An ordained Foursquare minister, Dennisa has earned a bachelor’s degree, Biblical Studies certification and is currently working on a master’s in Strategic Leadership. Some of the committees she has served include the board of BLOOM, a teen and young women’s conference; Explicit Ministries, a purity conference and sexual integrity ministry; and Women in Ministry Leadership cohort. Dennisa and Zach have two teenaged children and a dog named Tito.
